At least they have bread. I would assume you’ve bought up half the shelve space after taking the pic…
P.S. It’s a shame AH doesn’t have security that shoots down pigeons that think about flying into the store. Every other company would have killed the pigeon at once! AH what in the world!!
Seriously I’d like an AH in my neighbourhood. Two things for you
1) Get a job
2) Stop your hate-campaign against one of the best supermarkets out there.
Stop hating the AH and start hating your local government! They are the ones that give permission to the supermarkets to open at a certain location.
And also: the land value in Amsterdam is so expensive that supermarkets like the Jumbo can’t afford to locate in these locations.
If you move to a cheaper region (like Groningen for instance) you will be able to buy cheaper groceries.
The comment about the real estate prices in A’dam city is very true – if you go to Albert Heijn XL in Maastricht, it’s such a different AH than you’re used to in Amsterdam. In Amsterdam, everything has less quality because they don’t need to do their best to attract customers. That’s very sad. XL is very similar to, let’s say, Delhaize (Belgium) and Rewe (Germany) – it’s a matter of square meters to fill. Actually, there is a AH here near the border with Germany, where many non-western foreigners shop because the choice of exotic food is much bigger in AH than in German supermarkets.
How cute! a pigeon!
